Bespoke shoes step into Vitsœ
20 October 2008

Maiko Dawson came to London from Japan in 1994 to learn shoe-making at Cordwainers College whilst also serving an apprenticeship making John Moor designs at The Old Curiosity Shop.
Taking her inspiration from forms and colours found in nature, together with the functionality of classic designs, she uses high-quality natural materials such as nubuck, felt and hemp to hand craft each pair herself, resulting in highly individual shoes.
Like Vitsœ, Maiko works with each of her customers to create something that fits exactly with their individual requirements.
Maiko’s shoes are adding a dash of colour to our shelves at 72 Wigmore Street from 20 October to 8 November.
