Vitsœ creates a period interior
21 September 2006

Modern? Classic? Period? Minimal? Colourful? Contemporary? It matters not.
A year on from the arrival of Leo Santos-Shaw’s murals at 72 Wigmore Street, we have commissioned an award-winning team to transform our interior. The brief was to address those customers who visit and ask “Can I use your shelves in my home?”
We have commissioned award-winning architect, Thomas Croft, bespoke paint colourist and artist, Richard Clark, and specialist plasterer, AG Joy and Son, to create a period interior at 72 Wigmore Street inspired by Georgian architecture, complete with fireplace, cornices, mouldings and a venetian floor.
AG Joy & Son worked for five years on the restoration of Windsor Castle and is By Royal Appointment to HM The Queen. They have brought their unique expertise and craftsmanship to Wigmore Street.
Richard Clark has hand-mixed our colours – interior and exterior – and painted the floor.
Chesney’s have kindly lent us the fireplace.
Now, do you dare ask if the shelves can be used in your home?
