For years we have been nagged and pestered to reissue the 620 Chair Programme. Tonight, it happened
Following its reissue in the US in September 2006, the chair’s designer, Dieter Rams and our American partner, Murray Moss, were in London for a party to mark the reissue of the 620 Chair Programme.
Chairs and sofas in black suede, sumptuous midnight navy full aniline leather, library red and elephant saddle leathers were elevated above the onlookers, safe from the wine and food.
Dieter Rams was in great demand as toasters and books were produced for signature. His wife, Ingeborg Kracht-Rams, who took stunning black and white photographs (see 620 brochure) of the chairs back in 1964, also braved the crowds.
The new period-inspired interior at 72 Wigmore Street was warmly received. Orders were taken and happy faces prevailed.
