Read about Vitsœ’s latest activities around the world

A week-long political party

We like to think we are an apolitical bunch at Vitsœ… so we have been trying to prove our credentials.

On Tuesday 11 October, two Labour MPs visited us in London. Frank Dobson came along because he had nominated Vitsœ for the Government’s Made by Britain campaign in support of British manufacturing (yes, Vitsœ makes 95% of its components in the UK). Barry Sheerman joined him because he is half of the driving force behind that campaign. (The other half is a Conservative MP, Chris White.)

And, guess what? They were in awe of the people they met, constantly demanding to know who they were, where they had come from and why they were so damn motivated. They watched this film, the penny dropped and we told them we are recruiting many more top-notch people right now.

On Thursday 13 October, Vitsœ found itself in front of a coalition government minister at the Department for Business, Innovation & Skills. Edward Davey (Conservative) listened intently to both the story of how Vitsœ became a British manufacturer selling in over 50 countries and to its plans for the future. He responded in a refreshingly common-sensical manner.

All-in-all, an encouraging week for our credentials (as long as you did not engage with any sources of economic news).
