Prilly Lewis at 72 Wigmore Street
3 October 2006

Hang it, fold it or put it in drawers
On bold display in our windows on Wigmore Street and Marylebone Lane during October 2006 were the unmistakeable shapes, colours and textures of textile designer, Prilly Lewis.
Trained at the London College of Fashion and Goldsmith’s College, Prilly specialises in knitted and felted fabrics. From her London studio she both knits and felts unique pieces including coats, jackets, dresses, skirts and accessories.
Each piece reflects Prilly’s individual quirkiness, with special attention given to the finishing of each piece from beaded cuffs and contrasting edgings to subtle and unexpected colour combinations as well as the designer’s trademark “pom pom” buttons.
Prilly uses natural fibres and works predominantly in lambswool.
Her work was exhibited in October at Origin, the London craft fair organised by the Crafts Council.
