The Victoria & Albert Museum has recently commissioned two Dieter Rams’ films to coincide with its latest major exhibition, Cold War Modern.
The film crew visited the home that Rams designed for himself and his wife in 1970 and is set in the hills above Frankfurt.
Rams explains how he and his team came to change the entire landscape of product design in the 50s and 60s.
He also picks one of his favourite designs, Braun’s T1000 short-wave radio from 1963 and tells us more about it.
