Buying less, but buying better
3 December 2007
Our Fraser Fir Christmas tree is from The Christmas Forest who sources trees from a sustainable plantation in the Scottish Borders.
Part of each sale goes to ‘Tree Aid’, a charity dedicated to planting working trees for poor communities in developing countries. Afterwards, the tree will be shredded and turned into mulch.
The chandelier is by Britain’s most important hot-glass maker, Neil Wilkin. The rug is from Larusi who specialise in the lesser-known weavings of the Berber tribes of Morocco.
